P-Duke Announces New Line of High Power Density Power Supplies

P-DUKE has announced the latest expansion to its line of ultra-compact, high-power-density medical power supplies.

The new MAD180 series provides 180 watts with forced air cooling and up to 150 watts with natural convection cooling. In addition, a maximum output power of 220 W for five seconds is available. This series features 2 X MOPP insulation, with a low leakage current of less than 100 µA and is EIC/EN/ANSI 60601-1 certified, making this power supply suitable for any type BF medical application with high material demands. of security. It comes in 2″ x 3″ open framed or recessed; a DIN rail version is also available.

With a universal 85 to 264 VAC input range, this power supply can also support a 120 to 370 VDC input range. This series provides a single output voltage of 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 36, 48, 53 Vdc. With an integrated potentiometer, the output voltage can be easily adjusted up to ±8%. They have the following protection functions: over-voltage protection (latching mode), over-current protection (hiccup and auto-recovery mode), short-circuit protection (continuous and auto-recovery), and over-temperature protection (detected by a thermistor; hiccup mode and auto-recovery).

The MAD180 series is equipped with long life electrolytic capacitors, has efficiencies of up to 94%, power factor correction is 0.95, no-load power consumption of 150 mW max. and IEC protection types Class I and Class II. These units can operate at an altitude of up to 5000m and with its superior performance at an operating temperature of -40°C to +85°C.

MAD180 power supplies have been certified to the following standards: Safety approvals: IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 and IEC/EN/ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1

Conducted emissions: EN 55032 Class B

Radiated emissions: EN 55032 Class A
