Kinetic Technologies Adopts Diakopto’s ParagonX™ Platform for High-Performance Power Management and Video/Audio Interface ICs

Parasites are unintended elements that degrade the performance, accuracy, power efficiency, robustness, and reliability of integrated circuits. The need for higher density, faster speed and greater accuracy, as well as the migration to advanced technology nodes have increased their impact on IC design. The power-performance-area (PPA) metric and time-to-market of modern ICs are now dominated by on-chip interconnects and layout noise. Debugging these design issues – and fixing the underlying issues that cause them – has become extremely difficult, tedious, and time-consuming.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kinetic Technologies to our family of ParagonX users, and excited to see them using ParagonX for their industry-leading power management and video/audio interface ICs,” remarked Maxim Erchov, CEO and CTO of Diakopto. “This further speaks to ParagonX’s broad applicability and versatility in helping engineers solve a wide range of parasitic-induced IC problems.”

ParagonX assists engineers with parasitic debugging of custom analog, mixed-signal, and digital IC designs. It is faster than alternative solutions and visually identifies the few critical parasitic elements (out of thousands, millions or billions) responsible for bottlenecks, choke points and weak areas. ParagonX has accelerated the development of a wide variety of IC designs, including high-speed SerDes, high-precision data converters, RFICs, image sensors, power management, custom memories, optical transceivers, low-power IoT, silicon photonics, general-purpose analog and PHY memory.
